Classical Day Tour of Israel’s Coast & Western Galilee

Experience the highlights of Israel’s Coast and the Western Galilee. Travel through the coastal road to visit Caesarea, where you will see the ancient Roman capital and the archaeological ruins that remain there. Next will be stops to Haifa and the beautiful Bahai Gardens. Travel north to the western Galilee and the northern point of Israel to visit the limestone grottoes of Rosh Hanikra. The last stop of the tour will be in Acre, with a visit to the Crusaders and Turkish underground city. Enjoy a trip to the Oriental market, the Arab mosque and the old port. Tour #4

Departures: Weekly Sunday, Tuesday and Friday departures and you are picked up at your hotel or you may request a pickup spot.

Highlights: Israel’s coastal plain has for thousands of years attracted various fascinating cultures. On this Israel tour we will tour the port of Caesarea, the monarchal city of King Herod the Great. We will continue to Akko (Acre), one of the country’s most beautiful and fascinating cities, where we will walk the beautiful and authentically Middle Eastern streets, touring the ancient port that kisses the Mediterranean Sea.

Tour Itinerary:

• We will begin the tour with a drive along coastal road to Caesarea, the ancient Roman Capital and Port, where we will take a walking tour of the theater and archaeological ruins and excavations.
• We will continue to Haifa for a scenic view of city and to visit the port and Bahai Gardens.
• Next we will travel via Nahariya to Megiddo to visit the limestone Grottos on the border with Lebanon.
• We will then return via Acre to visit the Crusader and Turkish Underground City and crypt.
• We will walk through the Old City and oriental market, the Arab Mosque and the Old Port before returning to Tel Aviv.
