DISCOVERING EGYPT’S ANCIENT CIVILIZATION: PYRAMIDS / SPHINX / ENTER INSIDE THE GREAT PYRAMID / CAMEL RIDE / EGYPTIAN MUSEUM / OLD CAIRO / COPTIC CAIRO
  • After breakfast we will start our first touring day in Egypt. Our first stop will be at the Pyramids of Giza. A visit to the 3 Giza Pyramids is on every world traveler’s must-see list. Cheops Pyramid, the largest of the three, was built in the 3rd dynasty about 2690 B.C. and is one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
  • In front of the Pyramids of Chephren, we will find the colossal statue of the Great Sphinx, which has stood guard over the pyramids for more than 4,500 years. The Sphinx is carved from a single piece of stone. It is a lion with a Pharaoh’s head and is thought to be a portrait of the Pharaoh Chephren.
  • We will have the privilege to go inside the Great Pyramid to discover the burial chamber. The burial chamber consists of an empty Sarcophagus (7.3 ft by 3.75 ft) with smooth walls and a polished ceiling. The floor is made with blocks of pink granite, which cover 50 sq meters.
  • During our Pyramids visit you will have a chance to ride a camel near the pyramids (complimentary by AIT). This is your opportunity to have your postcard photo riding a camel with the pyramids on the background.
  • Next we will drive into Old Cairo to explore the city’s cultural landmarks that span three millennium of Egyptian history.
  • Discover the greatest collection of Pharaonic treasures in the world at the famous Egyptian Museum. See the unique collection of Pharaonic art, starting with the Old Kingdom Collection, on to the Middle and New Kingdom galleries and Greco-Roman periods as well as the famous Tutankhamun treasures.
  • We will continue to Coptic Cairo, where we will visit the famous Suspended Church (Hanging Church), dating to the late 4th and early 5th century. This basilica was named “Al-Mu’allaqah” because it was built atop the south gate of the Fortress of Babylon.

  • After breakfast we will travel east, heading towards the wilderness of the Sinai Peninsula and the Land of Goshen tracing the Route of the Biblical Exodus (Genesis16-18). We will drive via the tunnel underneath the Suez Cannel to the west branch of the Red Sea. Our first stop will be Marah by the Red Sea, the desert springs along the shore of the Red Sea, where the children of Israel found the waters bitter.
  • We will continue to Elim and visit the desert oasis and the possible sites where the 12 wells and 70 Palm Trees were found during the Children of Israel’s journey to the Promised Land.

  • In the afternoon we will arrive at our hotel near Mt. Sinai and St. Catherine’s Monastery.
  • This evening we will enjoy an authentic Bedouin dinner in a Bedouin tent.

Into The Promised Land: Egypt, Jordan & Israel Journey
Star Rating:

Awesome trip. A superb 15 days, exploring Egypt, Jordan and Israel. This was our first trip abroad, and it was wonderful. We had expert tour guides in each country. The hotels were excellent, full of character representing that region and fun. The itinerary was full everyday - awe-inspiring ancient and holy sites, all presented in context with the journeys, places and significant events as written in the Bible. We visited the Pyramids, Catherine Monastery, Petra, Dead Sea, Sea of Galilee, Jordan River, Masada, and quite a few of the earliest Jewish, Roman and holy sites in Jerusalem, including Mount Olive, and Mount Zion. Our Israel Guide, Lital was incredible and very knowledgeable. She took her time to insure we all were following the her discussions and answered a lot of questions. She also showed a lot passion for the areas we visited. She took the time to explain the sites, the history and their purposes. There was always free time for us to explore the sites independently. Idell (Muhammad) our Egyptian guide was also very knowledgeable of the sites visited in Egypt. He was very interactive with the group and got to know us all. Super friendly and passionate guy. The trip can be exhausting at times, full with visiting sites. Set your expectations correctly of the tour, the cultures, regions, and the travel, and you will realize an experience of a lifetime.

I’m at awe and amazed about this trip, started from Egypt, Jordan and Israel. It was an experience of a lifetime. I was able to walk and climb where the prophet walked such as, Moses from Mt Sinai who received the 10 Commandments. At Jordan river, it was memorable moments, I had renewal of baptism, where John the Baptist , baptized Jesus. Wow! And of course, ISRAEL!! Where the New testament takes place. Whew!! AIT, made it all possible, your crew were fantastic from the beginning to the end. The tour guides were all knowledgeable, very sincere, protective of us, and had sense of humor. I had a great time. Thank you Adel tour guide from Egypt, and Danny, tour guide from Israel, you are awesome! I would definitely recommend America Israel Tours to everyone. Thank you very much!

Multiplied thanks for an outstanding "Into the Promised Land" tour provided by AIT: Oct 28-Nov 12, 2018. From the time my cousin, and I departed the USA and landed in Egypt to end of the tour in Israel, we experienced superb service by your company. Even when Jacqueline encountered a medical emergency relating to a food allergy while in Cairo, her issue was addressed by a medical professional which was called in, and she was able to continue on the journey. Otherwise, the foods each hotel offered were delicious and elegantly presented. The hotel accommodations where just simply splendid and the four upgrades our "Green" bus received where extra extra special. Thanks!!! I am so thankful also that I was fully prepared for the extensive daily walking, heights, and was able to reach the summit of Mt Sinai. The climb up Mt Sinai (especially from start to finish is very strenuous) and proper preconditioning physically, plus proper walking shoes are absolutely essential for anyone wanting to complete the climb. However, the view at sunrise and the spiritual satisfaction is well worth all the efforts of the mountain top hike. All the tour guides our bus had were very cordial and knowledgeable of Biblical facts relating to the sites we visited. In addition, our drivers were skilled and kept us amazingly safe in and out of traffic and in the mountainous regions. Yes, the guides, drivers, and the hotel bus boys each were well deserving of the assessed tips your company requested. As I share pictures of my memorable pilgrimage, I also encourage people to consider traveling with AIT and checking out the credentials and the reviews of this reputable company. I hope you all will continue to flourish and provide life changing experiences for your customers. Furthermore, my desire is to make other voyages with AIT. Much appreciation for all your services.

This was a trip of a lifetime, and I brought along my Mom and my bestfriend. Adel, our Egypt tour guide, and Ibrahim, our Jordan tour guide, became close friends who shared their passion with us, their countries and their ppl. It was hard to leave them behind. Yoram, our Israel tour guide took care of us, calling us family and educating us on every detail. We are beyond grateful. Also, I must mention our bus drivers who had very challenging jobs yet always had smiles on their faces, especially Saul! The highlights for me were Petra and The Dead Sea! Unforgettable! Thank you America Israel Tours.

This summer trip has been such an amazing time, and we want to thank you for all your care, time and attention in making this possible. In addition to the wonderful trip to the Holy Land we had, the time that followed in Egypt was also a great experience. Mr. Ahmad, Mohammad the driver and Mr. Yasser (who we had the pleasure of meeting in his office and getting to know more) were all so kind and helped us tremendously on our trip. We were pleasantly surprised when they brought us a very generous gift to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary and arranged for a day trip to the pyramids to take a picture that my husband and I had originally done 30 years ago-it was a very special way to celebrate our anniversary. They were also kind enough our last day to take us out for some authentic Egyptian food we had been craving throughout our trip. You have a great team and we were very blessed to get to know them. They were all so kind and helpful and are people we definitely hope to see again on our future trips. We want to just echo our earlier sentiments of how much we have tremendously enjoyed our time in Israel and Egypt and the great care of service from your company. All of our Israel group have been telling others about the great experience, and we anticipate doing another trip soon with more people.

Where do I begin? I had the most fabulous time on this tour. Everything arranged by AIT was way above my expectations. Some of us did the Nile cruise as a pre-tour and that was one of my favorite parts o the whole trip. Osama was wonderful throughout Egypt, as well as Sami in Jordan and Shlomi in Israel. Being blessed by wonderful weather didn't hurt! I felt safe all the time–in fact, very welcomed. This was a trip of lifetime and I'll never forget it. If there had to be a criticism, it is that enough spending money is not emphasized, especially the need for $1 bills (I took 70 and ran out quickly) to buy water in Egypt & Jordan and it seemed that souvenirs all cost $1. The bills had wings on them–away from my purse. A real high light was spending Easter services at the Garden Tomb. That was a God thing! I can't recommend AIT enough for your travels to that area of the world.

This was the most life changing and wonderful trip we have ever taken. Seeing all of Egypt's places of antiquities first hand completely surpassed all the picture and photos we had ever seen. Osama Hakim held such high standards to keeping all of the group satisfied and informed. Entering Jordan and seeing Petra was one of the major highlights of the trip. We could have easily spent more time in the wonderful city of Madaba, and the Jordanian hotels and their staff were far above any expectations. Finally, we were greeted in Israel by the very capable Tamar and Uri, our trusted, reliable, and punctual bus driver. Again, Tamar was just the best, tending to every need or concern for each member of the group. Her knowledge of the places we visited was mind boggling! She always had her Bible in tow, reading Scriptures from both the Old and New Testament as we visited each place. We learned so much! Thank you for a lovely and spiritually uplifting vacation. Every morning since, I awaken and lay in bed reflecting and remembering the trip; it had a profound effect on us. You have "knocked it out of the park" in providing such a beautiful experience."

My husband and I as well as two dear friends went on the "Into the Promised land Tour" with the Nile River pre trip from Oct 30th to Nov. 17th 2014. We had a terrific time. All accommodations in Egypt, Jordan, and Israel were great. The food was plentiful and delicious. Osama was our amazing guide in Egypt and he was truly outstanding! We had only eight people on the Nile River portion and it was fabulous. All the sights were wonderful and the ship was beautiful. When we returned to Cairo, twelve more folks joined us and every one of them was a joy to travel with. We saw so much, it was difficult to take it all in but Osama did his best to help us understand everything we were seeing and more. I loved the night hike up to Mt. Sinai and the view of the spectacular sunrise over the desert. This was one of the highlights of the trip for me. Petra was breathtaking and we really enjoyed our resort on the Red Sea in Jordan. Israel and all the sacred places we visited has made the Bible become alive for my husband and myself. We feel so blessed to have visited each of the special places where Jesus walked, performed His miracles, and ultimately gave His life for us. This truly is a trip of a lifetime and we would highly recommend it to all."

Thanks! Lynn and I have just returned from your 'Into the Promised Land' tour this afternoon and we could not wait to tell you how very grateful indeed we are for your office's patience and kindness as we approached the departure for our trip. We were particularly delighted by our hotel room in Egypt right next to the Pyramids, which made our anniversary unforgettable. Thank you so much. A special mention for our tour guide, Osama, whose knowledge and expertise make our time in Egypt amazing. Another huge vote of thanks to Solomen/"Sam" in Jordan and Hannah in Israel - all amazing guides who made our trip absolutely perfect. Throughout the entire tour we felt completely safe and looked after. We also had the freedom to discover the areas by taking advantage of every excursion offered. Even Sinai, where we anticipated at least some challenges, was amazing and unforgettable - please do your utmost to continue to offer this stage of the adventure, it is essential to really appreciate the Exodus and the Sinai has a stark, wonderful beauty all of its own. I feel I am a better person for seeing it. Thank you again for giving us an experience of a lifetime! Dear Ms. Rogers, I wish to thank you and the America Israel Tours staff for the wonderful service during our tour. Ebey and I have no words to describe the wonderful time and experiences we had in Egypt, Jordan and Israel. The tour guides, bus drivers, hotels, shopping venues, holy sites, optional tours, security and airport services, information and just about everything else was simply perfect! We could not have enjoyed more on this memorable trip to the Holy Land. Our only regret is that it finished so quickly and that the whole affair seemed like a dream. We frankly did not want to come back from Israel. Also, the group you placed us in was remarkable. The presence of such friendly and amiable people made the journey an unforgettable experience. Rest assured that I will spread the name of your tour agency to all those I know that are interested to visit Israel. Ebey and I will look at other tour packages you have for the Mediterranean area and will contact you for more information. Please convey our regards to Maya Klein for her help and services.
