The Grand Jewish Heritage Tour will lead you through the land of Israel from a Jewish Heritage perspective. Travelers on this wonderful journey will become acquainted with Israel’s most important cultural, biblical and historical sites as well as modern Israel.

Therefore, whether you book this tour with us or with any other tour company, you will ultimately be on the same tour bus. Arrival

WELCOME TO ISRAEL
 
  • Upon arrival at Ben Gurion International Airport and after passport control, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Tel Aviv for check-in.
  • The rest of the day will be free to enjoy the hotel and the nearby famous Tel Aviv promenade.

Day 3 - Thursday

In & Around Tel Aviv

OLD JAFFA / NEVE TZEDEK / CARMEL MARKET / ANU MUSEUM
 
  • Begin the day in Old Jaffa, one of the world’s oldest port cities. Walk through its winding alleys and stone archways, where history, legend, and faith converge above the shimmering Mediterranean Sea.
  • Continue to Neve Tzedek, the first Jewish neighborhood built outside of Jaffa’s walls. Today, its restored 19th-century homes, tree-lined streets, and boutique shops tell the story of Tel Aviv’s beginnings , a meeting point of tradition and creativity.
  • Proceed to the bustling Carmel Market, where sounds, scents, and flavors fill the air. This vibrant open-air market offers a taste of Tel Aviv’s cultural diversity and daily life, from fresh produce and street food to spices and sweets.
  • End your day at the ANU Museum of Jewish people (Diaspora museum) with interactive exhibits celebrating Jewish history and culture.
Day 4
Day 4 - Friday

Explore Beit Guvrin & the Gaza Envelope

BEIT GUVRIN / GAZA ENVELOPE
 
  • Begin the day at Beit Guvrin-Maresha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its incredible ancient underground city, bell caves, and olive presses.
  • Continue to the Gaza Envelope, where the events of October 7, 2023 left a deep and lasting impact. Visit a lookout over the Gaza border to understand the proximity and vulnerability of the communities living here. Then stop at a roadside shelter along Route 232, where Aner Shapira displayed remarkable heroism while saving others. Visit the Nova Festival site near Re’im, where a peaceful gathering was transformed into a scene of unimaginable tragedy. Pay respects and hear the story of the young lives lost and the resilience shown in its aftermath.
  • In Sderot, visit the site of the city’s former police station, one of the first places targeted during the assault and a symbol of the fierce battles that took place.

Day 5 - Saturday

FREE DAY IN TEL AVIV
 
  • Enjoy a free day of Shabbat! You may explore Tel Aviv, the city that never sleeps!
  • Discover the famous boardwalk along the Mediterranean Sea or take a walk in Old City Jaffa.
  • Tel Aviv is home to numerous art galleries, cafes, and museums, as well as the beach! The Tel Aviv Museum of Art is a very highly rated institution, while the Eretz Israel Museum offers a historical perspective on the history of Tel Aviv.
  • For those who prefer to shop, there are several shopping malls that open after the end of Shabbat till late night.
  • Stroll along the famous tree lined Rothschild Boulevard, and take in the magnificent villas and buildings occupying the most expensive real estate in Tel Aviv.
Day 6
Day 6 - Sunday

From Tel Aviv to the Galilee

CAESAREA / HAIFA / ACRE (ACCO) 
 
  • Head north to Caesarea, once the illustrious Roman capital of the region. Immerse yourself in its remarkably preserved ancient ruins, marvel at the ingenious Roman aqueduct, and experience the vibrant ambiance of the restored Roman theater. Here, ancient splendor blends with modern vitality against the Mediterranean backdrop.
  • Continue to Haifa for breathtaking panoramic views of the golden-domed Bahai Shrine and lush gardens overlooking Haifa Bay.
  • Drive to Acre, a UNESCO World Heritage site steeped in rich Jewish history. Explore its historic port, vibrant market, and sites reflecting the city’s diverse past. Visit the underground Crusader’s City.

Day 7 - Monday

Upper Galilee & Golan Heights

  • Begin the day with a jeep adventure at the foot of the Golan Heights, where off-road trails lead through dramatic landscapes, offering a fun and thrilling way to experience the region’s natural beauty up close.
  • Ascend to the Golan Heights and go to a commanding observation point overlooking Quneitra and the Syrian border—a striking location that highlights the region’s strategic and historical importance.
  • Visit Tzfat (Safed), one of Judaism’s Four Holy Cities. Walk its winding alleyways, explore the artists’ quarter, and encounter the mystical tradition of Kabbalah that shaped its unique spiritual atmosphere.

Day 8 - Tuesday

From the Galilee to Jerusalem

HAMAT TIBERIAS / BEITH SHE’AN / JORDAN VALLEY / MOUNT SCOPUS
 
  • Visit Hamat Tiberias, a National Park displaying one of the most spectacular mosaics of an ancient synagogue in Israel. Also famous for its ancient therapeutic hot springs known for centuries as a place of relaxation and rejuvenation.
  • Continue to Beit She’an, a significant archaeological site and ancient city from the Roman period. Tour the well-preserved amphitheater, Byzantine bathhouses, the grand public fountain and colonnaded streets.
  • Drive through the Jordan Valley and stop at the Jordan Valley Brigade Monument, commemorating the soldiers who defended the area. Proceed to the sacred city of Jerusalem, pausing at Mount Scopus for reflection and a blessing as you enter this deeply spiritual and historically significant city.
Day 9
Day 9 - Wednesday

Jerusalem Old City

OLD CITY / MOUNT ZION / JEWISH QUARTER / WESTERN WALL TUNNELS
 
  • Embark on a remarkable journey into the heart of Jewish history on Mount Zion, beginning with a visit to King David’s Tomb, a site of reverence and tradition for generations. Enter the Old City and make your way through the Jewish Quarter. Walk along the Cardo, the once-bustling Roman thoroughfare, now lined with modern life and layered with centuries of history.
  • Discover the Jerusalem Archaeological Park at the Davidson Center, where remnants of the First and Second Temple periods reveal Jerusalem’s sacred past in powerful, tangible ways.
  • Then descend into the Western Wall Tunnels, where massive Herodian stones and hidden passageways bring you face to face with the enduring strength and spirit of Jerusalem through the ages.
Day 10
Day 10 - Thursday

Jerusalem Old & New City

YAD VASHEM / MT HERZL / ISRAEL MUSEUM 
 
  • Today we will drive to the esteemed Israel Museum and explore the remarkable Shrine of the Book, where the ancient Dead Sea Scrolls are displayed. Marvel at the intricate miniature model of Jerusalem during the Second Temple period.
  • Pass by the Knesset, Israel’s parliament, and proceed to Mount Herzl, Israel’s national and military cemetery named after Theodor Herzl, burial place to many of the nation’s leaders and heroes.
  • Pay respects at Yad Vashem, the official memorial to the Holocaust.

Day 11 - Friday

Dead Sea & the Judean Desert

MASADA/ DEAD SEA / LUNCH AND SPA
 
  • Venture to the Judean Desert and the legendary fortress of Masada, where you will ascend the mountain fortress built by King Herod via cable car. Explore the remarkable ruins, including walls, palaces, a synagogue, and a bathhouse, which witnessed the heroic last stand of the Zealots against the Romans.
  • From the heights of Masada, descend to the shores of the Dead Sea. At a nearby hotel, enjoy lunch and access to the spa facilities, including pools, showers, and changing areas. Take the opportunity to float effortlessly in the Dead Sea’s salty, mineral-rich waters, and soak in the unique atmosphere of the lowest place on Earth.
  • We will return to Jerusalem for the evening.

Departure

DEPARTURE FROM ISRAEL / ARRIVAL IN THE USA
 
  • After breakfast you will be transferred to Ben Gurion International Airport for your transatlantic flight back to the USA. Take home your fond memories of Israel that will last a lifetime, and start planning your next trip!
