A Medieval Experience in Acre
One of the oldest cities in the world, Acre offers travelers a chance to travel back in time as they experience Israel during the Crusades.
During the day, visitors can enjoy a museum dedicated to the knights of the Crusades and shop for medieval goods produced by artisans in the traditional fashion.
At night, a royal banquet is held by King Richard the Lionhart, where guests can eat feast on a banquet of customary cuisine from the Crusader period while being served by a singing waitress dressed in traditional medieval garb. During dinner, guests are entertained as knights compete in a royal jousting tournament.
It may not be the first thing travelers expect when taking a trip to Israel, but the Crusades were a significant period of Israeli history and there is no better way to engage in this historical era.
