Roots of Your Faith II Tour
Star Rating:

As a 30 year old I never thought I would enjoy a bus tour group, but I would highly recommend this tour for a trip to Israel!! We had the most knowledgeable tour guide who made our experience awesome- I learned so much about history and the bible every day- things that I would not have learned if I had gone on my own. There was virtually no waiting around, great headsets so you could always hear the tour guide, and it was very safe. The food was amazing, too! I would love to go back to Israel with AIT some day!

We just visited Israel for the 2nd time with AIT. This tour really immerses you in the Holy Land, not just the most touristy sights. We visited national parks which are all important historical sites in the life of Jesus. Our guide, Yoram, has done a fantastic job of tying together the sights with the Bible, history, and modern events in the life of Israel. We have seen one of only 7 first century synagogues, almost certainly one in which Jesus preached, climbed Mt. of Precipice, Mt. Arbel, dipped our feet in the Sea of Galilee where John 21 took place, visited Bethsaida, and had a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee. this is only in the first two days... What an amazing, spiritual, and educational trip this has been so far. Our guide brings the Bible into everything we see, relating the story of Jesus which lies in front of us in "full living color". In addition, his knowledge of the customs of Jewish culture have helped us to more fully understand our roots as Christians. the amenities of hotel and travel are first class. All being very professional and courteous... Can't say enough about this trip.

I give five stars mainly because of the staff. Our guide, Yoram, is fabulous! He is very knowledgeable about every place we visit. His personality is excellent and he makes you feel special. He goes out of his way to interact with everyone. He should be running the country. David, our driver, is very safe, and always there. Visited many wonder sites, including night tour of Old Jaffa, Mt. Precipice, where Jesus Christ was attacked by an angry mob for declaring himself as the Messiah, Sea of Galilee, Arbel cliff, and a beautiful, modern Catholic church being built with Mexican funding, to name just a few. Be advised that there is some strenuous walking in the heat. The hotel rooms are good, although I did encounter issues with some of my rooms, and the food is good, but could use improvement. Some attendees, maybe majority, are social conservatives, so don't discuss politics!

This is the best tour yet to Israel. everyone who thinks there was much more to see in Israel is right. This is a varied tour with biblical sights, history, culture, food, and scenery. They do a splendid job of tying together ancient and modern Israel. The guide was well educated in many areas, especially the Biblical settings, and could communicate with passion and humor. The accommodations are first class and the food is really varied, local and ample. We travel a lot and I can give this tour a ten star rating.
